Nu demult a avut loc o conferinta Alburnus la Bucuresti, unde oamenii astia s-au dat mari cu rezultatele lor in justitie. Iar au mintit cu nerusinare, cum fac de obicei.
Ne-am dus si noi din sat acolo, sa nu creada lumea ca Alburnus Maior reprezinta comunitatea.
There was a rumor today that Prince Charles would come today in Rosia. Quite honestly I was happy - I would have liked to talk to him about Rosia. So far I do not know what he was told but it looks like he is happy to patronize those who want me unemployed and talking to him would have been a good chance to inform him and change his mind…well, who knows?!

Our smart senators (who by the way, most of them have never been to Rosia) have just voted an initiative to declare Rosia Montana a natural and archaeological reservation site. In other words, from now on Rosia will be like Rome or Egypt or Wild Africa or Amazon Jungle…

Senatul a adoptat, ieri, un proiect legislativ prin care Rosia Montana devine rezervatie arheologica si naturala, înfiintând Administratia Rezervatiei, ca organism care evalueaza starea resurselor naturale ale zonei si emite acordurile de mediu, în scopul protectiei, conservarii si restaurarii zonei.Senatul a adoptat, cu 44 de voturi „pentru”, doua voturi „împotriva” si 11 abtineri, proiectul de lege privind constituirea Rezervatiei arheologice si naturale Rosia Montana, initiat de senatorii PRM Gheorghe Funar, Aurel Ardelean si Petru Stan, precum si de deputatii PRM Valeriu Buzea, Marin Diaconescu si Ioan Aurel Rus. Senatul este prima camera sesizata, forul decizional fiind Camera Deputatilor. Proiectul prevede ca prin rezervatie se întelege zona geografica în care sunt incluse si vestigiile arheologice, Rezervatia Rosia Montana fiind supusa „unui regim de administrare special, în scopul protectiei, conservarii, restaurarii si punerii în valoare stiintifica si turistica”. Pentru administrarea patrimoniului Rosia Montana se înfiinteaza Administratia Rezervatiei, institutie publica cu personalitate juridica, având sediul în comuna Rosia Montana, subordonata Ministerului Culturii, Ministerului Internelor si Ministerului Agriculturii. Conducerea Administratiei este realizata de un Consiliu stiintific, ai carui membri sunt numiti de Guvern.

Last Sunday we had Easter here. We are orthodox and Easter is celebrated in a different day than the Catholic Easter.
Easter has a very interesting significance here and it is propbably one of the most interesting celebrations due to a special habit we have here: we use to “shot” using long metal pipes and carbide. This produces a lot of noise so that people from the village know that it is Easter time in Rosia!
This weird habit comes from our grand fathers and grand-grand fathers. They used to do the same!

Am citit prin ziare si nu mi-a venit sa cred - Stephanie Roth este nominalizata pentru ceva titlu de femeia anului de cateva reviste mondene! Cica pentru activitatea sa de mediu si de lupta pentru comunitatea din Rosia Montana! Ea, care nu e NICIODATA aici, care sta prin Cluj sau pe te miri unde, care n-a ajutat un amarat de batran de aici! Cat de tare au reusit astia sa manipuleze pe toata lumea…
Oameni buni - femeia asta nu e niciodata in sat! Minte pe toata lumea si urmareste numai si numai sa devina si mai bogata, si mai cunoscuta.

I read in some newspapers and I couldn’t believe - it was written there that Stephanie Roth has been nominated for some title such as “the woman of the year”, by some magazines! It said there that this award would come for her environmental activity and for her care for Rosia community. She, who’s NEVER in the village, who has never helped a single old man from this community, who spends her time in Cluj or elswhere…I am scared to see how much they managed to manipulate everybody.
Folks, this lady is never in the village! She lies everybody and all she wants is to become richer and better known!

Last days it has been a huge debate in Romania, on the ZOO from Bucharest. At one point the Hungarian minister Korodi, the same who keeps my village in poverty announced that the ZOO from Bucharest might be closed due to some issues with the available space per animal. I have never been there but I know that a lot of kids love to go there and see the animals!
So what is the problem? The newspapers and radios told us - it looks like the closure of the ZOO could be a good opportunity for a team of Hungarian real-estate developers to grab the ZOO’s land and build something there! And Korodi wanted to give a hand to this!
How comes that?!
Anyway - I think Korodi realized and few days after the anouncement of the possible ZOO closure - he rectified that and he said things can be fixed at the ZOO, one of the bears have to go to make room to the others and so on! It’s been fun!

Zilele trecute a fost multa agitatie pe tema gradinii zoologice din B. La un moment dat a aparut ministrul Korodi, ala de tine satul meu in saracie, si a zis ca Zoo din B s-ar putea inchide ca cica nu mai e destul spatiu pentru animalele de acolo! Eu n-am ajuns pe acolo dar copiii din B stiu sigur ca se duc!
Care e de fapt problema?Am aflat din ziare si de la radio - se pare ca un grup de unguri care construiesc cartiere si alte alea ar vrea sa puna mana pe terenul de acolo si sa se puna pe construit! Si Korodi a vrut si el sa ajute un picut!
Cum vine asta?!
Intre timp, Korodi a revenit si a zis ca se gasesc solutii, ca se va rezolva cu spatiul, ca un urs va fi relocat ca sa faca loc altora etc. A fost haios!
V-am lasat!
Rosia is poorer these days. We used to say here that our mountains bear gold, while we have to bag…
These days a lot of people have to leave from the mine project. The company had to stop some activities as they have no progresses with the authorities…
But I have heard that the cyanide ban I told you about, hasn’t passed in the Parliament! Finaly those guys seem to care for mining!!!
We’ll do a series of interviews with those laid-off!

Rosia e si mai saraca acum. Obisnuiam sa spune pe aici ca “muntii nostri aur poarta, noi cersim din poarta-n poarta”.
Zilele astea o gramada de oameni au plecat din proiectul minier. Compania a oprit unele activitati, dat fiind faptul ca statul nu raspunde solicitarilor…
Da’ am auzit o chestie faina - se pare ca amendamentul ala cu cianura nu a trecut in parlament. In cele din urma se pare ca celor de acolo le pasa de minerit.
O sa facem cateva interviuri cu concediati!

Recently I have seen our prime minister Taricieanu being very upset on the European Commission’s resolution with regard to the Ford investment in Romania. Maybe you don’t know but Ford has bought one car manufacturing factory few months ago, trying to implement a multi-million $ investment and the European Commission commented that the privatization of this factory has been sponsored by the Romanian state, therefore Ford should pay more in order to get the factory. Tariceanu reacted to that, stating that “What would the EC have us do, manufacture buttons, while other countries produce airplanes and cars?”. He is perfectly right! But he seems to have double standards when he looks to Rosia Montana gold project!
Maybe we should say like this: “What would the Prime Minister and his Hungarian friends have us do? Pick mushrooms, when our fathers and grandfathers mined gold?”

Recent l-am vazut pe premierul Taricieanu foarte suparat pe decizia Comisiei Europene in ce priveste investitia Ford din Romanai. Poate nu stiti dar Ford a cumparat o fabrica de masini din
Poate ca noi ar trebui sa zicem cam asa: “C ear vrea primul ministru si prietenii sai maghiari sa facem? Sa culegem ciuperci, in timp ce parintii si bunici sapau dupa aur?”

Am fost plecat aproape 2 luni si va rog sa ma iertati pentru ca nu am mai reusit sa scriu nimic. In perioada asta s-au intamplat tot felul de lucruri pe aici si as vrea sa aflati si de la mine noutatile.
Stiti ca doi senatori din noua partide care aparent se urasc unul pe celalat (PRM si UDMR), d-nii Gheorghe Funar si Peter Ekstein Kovacs au initiat anul trecut o propunere legislativa prin care se doreste interzicerea folosirii cianurii in minerit. Asta in conditiile in care mai sunt sute de domenii care folosesc cianura in cantitati mari si in conditii de siguranta deplina. Cei doi distinsi senatori sustin cu seninatate ca ar trebui interzisa cianura in minerit, ca oricum nu mai sunt mine in Romania si ca la ce s-o mai folosim?! Asta in conditiile in care prin promovarea unei asemenea legi se loveste nu doar in proiectul de la Rosia si in sansa ca satul meu sa prospere si odata cu el sa prospere zona asta saraca, dar se loveste si in sansa ca Romania sa dezvolte o industrie de zeci de miliarde de dolari - mineritul. Ce le pasa celor doi? Ei stiu una si buna - proiectul de la Rosia trebuie oprit!
Poate ca ar fi interesant pentru votantii nationalisti ai d-lui Funar sa afle ca acesta are initiative legislative cu ungurii, asta dupa ce l-am vazut nu demult la televizor foarte vehement si galagios in ce-i priveste pe unguri! Asta nu inseamna cumva ca d-l Funar este duplicitar?
In fine, nu facem politica aici. Ideea e ca legea s-a discutat intr-o comisie din parlament si se va vota la un moment dat. In comisia aia s-au dus si oameni de aici de la noi si eu am auzit ca au facut treaba buna! Si am mai auzit ca pe acolo au fost si cei de la Alburnus si ca s-au facut de ras, ca de obicei! Sincer, m-am bucurat!!!!!

I’ve been away for almost 2 months so please forgive me for not posting anything. Meanwhile here things have happened and I would like to give you the news.
Are you aware that 2 senators from 2 different parties which strongly opposes each other (PRM, the nationalist Romanian party and UDMR, the party representing the Hungarian minority), Mr. Gheorghe Funar and Mr. Peter Ekstein Kovacs initiated last year one proposal for a banning the use of cyanide in mining, although there are hundreds of industries which also use large quantities of cyanide in a safe manner. The senators very easily support the idea that cyanide should be banned for mining use as there is no mining left in
Maybe it would be good to know by the extremist nationalist voters of Mr. Funar that he has common initiatives with his “enemies”, the Hungarians! I have just seen Mr. Funar at TV being very vocal against the Hungarians! Doesn’t that mean that the guy plays a double role?
Anyway, we don’t do politics here. The idea is that the proposal was discussed in one committee of the Parliament before voting. Fellows from the village were there and did a very good job, supporting the mining and opposing this irrational initiative. I have also heard that guys from Alburnus were there as well and fool themselves, as usual! Honestly, I was glad about that!!!!!

In linkul de mai jos puteti vedea o poveste interesanta despre faptul ca nu e prima data cand in George Soros isi foloseste ONG-urile pentru a pune mana pe aur, asa cum face acum la Rosia ci a mai facut asta si in trecut. Oare ii pasa cuiva?! Cei de la Alburnus - stiti ca sunteti niste pioni in jocul lui Soros?
